NEWSSenators debate CBN’s move to redesign naira

Let them go ahead( with) what they're doing. ” Replying, Senator Albert Bassey Akpan representing Akwa Ibom Northeast Senatorial quarter submitted that CBN does n’t need legislative support to carry out its statutory responsibility. He said “( The) extant law doesn't bear support of the National Assembly to do its job. No, it does n’t. The Central Bank is carrying out its nonsupervisory functions and I recommend the Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking and Financial Institutions and so there should be no farther discussion on this matter. ”
